New Orleans Hotsauce, a family recipe deeply rooted in the vibrant culture of the city, was inspired by the New Orleans Saints during their winning streak in 2009. Shawn McElveen, the creator, was reminded of his family’s hot sauce recipe when a friend suggested naming it after the Saints. Instead, he chose a more fitting name: New Orleans Hotsauce. He believed that when someone says they are from Louisiana, they aren't truly from New Orleans, as true New Orleans natives proudly lead with "I’m from New Orleans." And so, the hotsauce was born. Legend has it that this hotsauce played a part in energizing the Saints as they went on to win the Super Bowl, marking the beginning of a delicious legacy.
